I believe there is a special layer of Hell reserved for child molesters, people who talk in the theatre and people who post things on the internet illegally.

September 11th-Never Forget

7 years ago I was in the third grade. Spetember 11th, 2001 had started out like any other day for me. I got up and went to school. I was in gym class when I noticed something was wrong. A lot of my classmates were being taken out of class by their parents. I think that a teacher came in and said that there had been an accident. We asked our gym teacher what had hapened and he said that it was nothing big. Finally there were me and about 5 other kids left in the class then my Grandma finally came and took me out of class too.

I didn't get what was going on. I wanted to stay in school, I liked school. I don't remember what happend on the drive to my Grandma and grandpa's house. I remember sitting at her kitchen table while she talked to my mom and dad. I don't think I saw what was happening on the TV but I'm not sure. I just remember someone telling me that some planes had crashed into building in NYC. I was eight, I didnt get it. I don't remember what exactly happend that day but I do remember what I was thinking and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

I was thinking "So what? Planes crash all the time. What's the big deal?" I'm not ashamed to admit it because I know that lots of people truly still feel that way. That 9/11 was just another day and they don't get the point for the moment of silence we have in school to honor those who died. When I was eight I was sad the people died but I didn't truly understand. Even two years ago when I went on my school's 8th grade trip to NYC and saw Ground Zero, I still didn't understand.

I'm 15 years old now and a sophmore in highschool. I'm much more mature then I was when I was eight andI have more life expirience. I've had to deal with death. Now I understand why what happend on September 11th, 2001 is important and why it needs to be remembered. While I now watch videos and such, it really hits me and my eyes hurt frm all the crying I've done. Now at last, I understand.

1 day. 4 planes. Over 2,500 lives lost. Moms, dads, husbands, wives, children, friends, volunteers. Gone.

AsI was reading some comments on YOUTUBE I felt very upset at what I was seeing. People were just being cruel to one another because of this.I think that's stupid. Today it shouldn't mater who is a Democrat or Republican, Christian or Jew, black or white, old or young. We are all people and we are all still here. Patriot day should be a day of remeberance, a day to think about the priorites in our lives. Political and religuois disagreements are not really all that important compared to all of the innocent lives that were lost. Those people were of all nationalities and religions. All sides lost people so what's the point i blaming one side or another? Save it for another day. Any other day.

The last thing I have to say is that so many people focus on all of the bad that happend that the heros are overlooked. Though no one I know was lost on that horible day I still want to say "Thank you." to all of the firefighters, police officers, medical persons, and civilians that lost thier lives trying to save others. What about the plane that crashed in Penslyvainia. In that plane the people on board realized what was happening and stopped the terrerist from achieving thier plans for another major crash, which was most likely planned for the White house. Not many people think about that plane and the patriots who gave their lives to stop that attack.

That's all I have to say.

"Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day
Out in the yard with your wife and children
Working on some stage in LA
Did you stand there in shock at the site of
That black smoke rising against that blue sky
Did you shout out in anger
In fear for your neighbor
Or did you just sit down and cry

Did you weep for the children
Who lost their dear loved ones
And pray for the ones who don't know
Did you rejoice for the people who walked from the rubble
And sob for the ones left below

Did you burst out in pride
For the red white and blue
The heroes who died just doing what they do
Did you look up to heaven for some kind of answer
And look at yourself to what really matters

I'm just a singer of simple songs
I'm not a real political man
I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell you
The difference in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith hope and love are some good things he gave us
And the greatest is love

Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day
Teaching a class full of innocent children
Driving down some cold interstate
Did you feel guilty cause you're a survivor
In a crowded room did you feel alone
Did you call up your mother and tell her you love her
Did you dust off that bible at home
Did you open your eyes and hope it never happened
Close your eyes and not go to sleep
Did you notice the sunset the first time in ages
Speak with some stranger on the street
Did you lay down at night and think of tomorrow
Go out and buy you a gun
Did you turn off that violent old movie you're watching
And turn on "I Love Lucy" reruns
Did you go to a church and hold hands with some stranger
Stand in line and give your own blood
Did you just stay home and cling tight to your family
Thank God you had somebody to love

I'm just a singer of simple songs
I'm not a real political man
I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell you
The difference in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith hope and love are some good things he gave us
And the greatest is love

The greatest is love
The greatest is love
