Coast to Desert, Water to Blood
There's a nightmare in her closet.There's a ghost under her bed.
Hide her from the monsters,
And save her from herself.
The rest of the world tends to
Simply break her like she's Some dusty toy on a shelf.
A blink of an eye later,
Three hundred eight miles apart,
Now three hundred eighty one.
Because in the midst of all the tears,
Every one of our words,
Makes my heart sink another mile.
Thoughts got me thinking
We're not going to smile for quite a while.
This night,
tonight,
the stars will put up a fight.
The moon won't shatter into a thousand pieces.
