Fans of my work, PLZ READ!
I will be starting off with a vampire story, "Restrained" which has been a pet project of mine lately. The first chapter is already up, in fact. But this is far from what I'm going to post. There are some of my pictures up there and there will be more. Even better, I'll be posting many more stories! Included in them is my first dragon/midevil story! YEAH!!
So, for those who absolutely must see my DeviantArt stories, here is a link to my gallery there and also a link directly to the first chapter of "Restrained." Please do stop by and give me a shout! ^_^
Click here to go to my DA gallery.
Click here to go to Ch1 of Restrained.
Now, I wanted to concluded (my gosh, I really am a book nerd) that the few but amazing people who have continued messaging me even after I've left are awesome. Simply awesome. I've been told more than once that I AM good at endings and for this, I thank all of you who think so. You have given me the confidence to continue writing through my writer's block.
But I must add that I can't do endings; write them, that is. I have had far too much trouble getting stories to their endings. Of all the 60 something ideas I've written down, only 20 or so are actually able to be called a story. From those 20 are only THREE stories that I've been able to get to completion. Those 3 are here on Quizilla and are the result of many years of joyful and often troublesome work.
However, I love writing, not for you guys but for myself. To think that my hobby gives people smiles and helps someone through the day, that is truly a wonderful gift. I can't thank you guys enough.
Ah, last note here. This is just a reminder that you can contact me quickest via email at
mockingbirdprints@gmail.com
If you are trying to contact me through the Quizilla messenger, I may not reply for a month or more.

Well... Looks like I lied... [IMPORTANT]
I lied! My last post was about how I wasn't going to ditch Quizilla and that I was changing some things. Well, I did change some things but I never got around to finishing the job. Typical Nikuya style, never finishing things. Anyway, I will be saying goodbye to Quizilla...in a way. I will no longer be posting new stories on this site as far as I can see. In the unforseen future, I might but I'm not sure. But to those who are prepared to copy my stories to their computer so they can have their own copies, freeze that copy! I won't be deletting my account. You will still be able to access my stories and I will try to keep people posted on stories I will be posting elsewhere (more about that later). One thing I MIGHT be doing is removing "These Watery Wings..." (WWFF) and "Through the Bloodstained Window." WWFF will be getting a new name and will be get a spot on my new posting area and "Through The Bloodstained Window" is barely started so chances that it will get deleted from here is quite high. So fair warning.
Now, if you are fretting about me deleting anything here, you have my full permission to copy chapters to your computer. But only to read! You cannot take credit for the story/chapter nor may you distribute it without my approval.
Now that that is said, those who want to continue reading my stories will want to deffinitly keep reading.
I mentioned before that I will be posting stories in a new place. This will be my own site hosted by Webs (formerly Freewebs). I might also be posting certain stories in another place but I'm not so sure about that yet so I discuss that in a later post. Anyway, my site will host all my new and upcoming stories as well as have links to various things. It'll even have a contest! o.O Wacky, I know. But it'll be worth visiting it once in a while even if I didn't post a new chapter since I will be posting some nifty things I find which you might find nifty too. ^^
The main thing that having my own site to post on will help with is that I can add content that I see fit to be there and get rid of what I think shouldn't. For example, you'll get a summary of each story before you go reading it. So you won't have to wonder what it's about. Also, I'll be adding some things like a gallery, story info (and not just story status and genre), and a blog dedicated to information on my stories. But I think the thing I like most about this change is that you guys can give me more input and can have the site the way you guys want it.
So that's my news for now. My next journal post will most likely give you the link to my story site (which you won't get just yet since it's not finished) as well as information on where else you might be able to find my stories because...I'm thinking about getting more serious with my writing. *0*
Thanks for reading and if you have any questions or comments message me or email me at mockingbirdprints@gmail.com

Quizilla's Facelift
Anyway, seeing as the way stories are posted has majorly changed, I've been spending a little time fixing things up. So this journal is to give a list of changes that will be done and what things have been taken out and added. It's not an extremely detailed list but it'll give you the idea of what's been done.
Things that have been taken out:
( ) I've removed all "answers" left over from the past story set-up. Meaning you don't get to see any of my smart alec answers anymore. How sad. T.T But, if you miss my craziness that much, feel free to email me (you can find my email address in previous journal entries). I'm always willing to share my wonderful comments.
( ) I've removed any sentences that would refer to the "answers." Most of these, if not all, are included in my first story SMH. But in any case, I've done my best to blend the paragraphs together.
Things that have been changed/edited:
( ) I've tried to keep as much of the original of each chapter and story as possible. However, I've used this reposting period to fix some spelling, grammar, etc. mistakes. Although, again, with my first story SMH, I've left a ton of my grammar mistakes because there were just so many. I've done my best to clean them up but I know there are tons that I overlooked.
( ) I've changed the HTML left over coding to makes things easier on the eyes.
( ) I've also changed a few other various other things. But again, I've tried to keep as much as the original as possible.
Things that have been added:
( ) I haven't added a whole lot. But you may notice some new pictures, some new notes and the like.
If you wish to compain (cause there may be a few of you), please leave a comment or email me. But I get this strange feeling that not many people will be annoyed at the changes.
As for when these things will be done, I'm slowly getting to each story and each chapter. I've started first on SMH and will continue to the other stories when I'm done with that one.
So, hope everyone enjoys reading my stories and as always, I love to hear from you guys! ^_^

Mockingbird Prints is Hiring Sparrows!
Look below for all the need to know and know how...
What you need to be a Sparrow:
You need to be able to be called in to read a story at ANY time.
You need to be able to discuss your opnions with the Falcons (main judges).
You need to be able to tell a good story when you see one. Know good grammar, spelling, etc.
You should have an interest in helping other writers, reading stories that may not be to your liking.
We prefer that you have an email address but it's not needed.
To apply to be a Sparrow:
Email me at mockingbirdprints@gmail.com
Tell me you want to be a Sparrow.
Tell me why you want to be a Sparrow (i.e. I'd like to help writers.)
Tell me your weaknesses in reading, writing and discussing your opnion, little one. >XD
The Sparrow Test:
After you've applied to be a Sparrow, you will be ask to take a test. This is to ensure that those who get in aren't there to just be cool. ^_^ It also tell us just how good of a Sparrow you can be. This is your chance to shine!
The test is simple. You'll be asked to read a story (which I will provide) and tell me why you like and/or don't like the story. You will also be asked to say what you thought of the spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Now don't stress about this test. It's there to help me help you. It also makes it easier to see who is really dedicated to being a Sparrow.
If you have any questions about this Sparrow business, just email me at mockingbirdprints@gmail.com.
If you have no idea what Mockingbird Prints is, check out my old journal posts if you can or email me.
Thank you everyone! Bye bye!

Important Update!! About contacting me and stuff...
From now on, I'd prefered to be contacted via email. I'm fed up with Quizilla's messaging system (I got spam in my inbox -_-) and not to mention I'll reply quicker if you email me instead of Quizilla message me. If you don't have an email you can easily use to contact me, don't worry. I will reply to your Quizilla message. It'll just take twice as long than if you messaged me through email.
Now if you don't know my email, it's
mockingbirdprints@gmail.com
You can also easily find it at the top of all my stories and creations.
Second in line for business... ^^;
I've been gone. My last post was enough to state that if you haven't noticed. But this is not another big rant about being sorry for being gone. I think everyone knows I'm sorry by now. So this little message is to asure everyone that I'm not gonna disapear forever. But there are also some news that concerns anyone who reads my stories and anyone who might be interested in my future stories. So please everyone, read on.
I first want to say that no, I'm not leaving Quizilla. And no, I haven't stopped any stories. Unless it says stopped in the story's folder name, it hasn't been stopped. It's just taking me an extremely long time to update anything lately. So I ask that everyone be patient. I WILL update all my stories. And when I do, I will add in a special bonues for everyone who waited (I think I stated this in my last post...).
Second of all, there is news concerning those who may read my future stories. I will no longer be posting new stories on Quizilla. Once I finish the ones that are already up here, there will be no more new stories to be found here. I am also thinking about moving a story or two.
Now, for those of you who are thinking that I'm going to stop writing...WRONG! I will still continue writing and posting stories up on the internet. Just no longer on Quizilla.
I'll be posting my stories on my own site. That site is currently still in a beta phase right now but trust me, it's already got a few chapters up on it. Once I finish fixing all the bugs on it and polishing the way it looks, I will make an update about it and give everyone the link. You will be able to find a lot of things besides my stories on the site, as well. But you'll have to wait to see.
Ok, so a summary of what I just said:
1) Please email me instead of using Quizilla's messaging system.
2) I'm not leaving Quizilla and no stories have been stopped. I'm just really late in updating.
3) Once all my current stories are finished on Quizilla, there will be no more posts on this site. I will be posting on my own site. A link to that site will be given out once it's out of beta phase.
Now that that is out of the way... I thank everyone for being patient with me and apologize to those who are about to rip my head off. X_X SORRY!

Where Is Nikuya?!!!
Answer: Busy and hating myself for getting a new obsession.
I doubt I have to mention that I've been busy. Schoolwork, housework, homework, whatever kind of work you can think of that you don't get paid for really. So I won't delve further into all that. But that's not all that's been eating up my time.
I've found myself sucked into the world of Rappelz. And I'm obsessed. Usually, I'm not the type of person who gets into MMORPGs but I couldn't resist. Go figure, it was better than I thought it was. But very time consuming which seems to be typical of most MMORPGs. Oh, for those of you who aren't game savvy, MMORPG = Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game. Think World of Warcraft if you must have an example. Anyway, those of you who know me know that I love video games. I'm obsessed with them just as much as writing. So Rappelz was the icing on the cake.
Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that all my computer time has been spent on Rappelz. I know... "Bad Nikuya!!! You better get writing or we'll throw sharp objects at you! NAG NAG NAG!!!" But I can't help it! It's addicting! 8O
So long story short, I'm VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY SORRY!! To make up for it, I'll try to get up something special. But what that special thing is, I'm not sure yet. Maybe I should warm up my shiny new scanner? Hmm? Well, if any of you want to see my (bad) drawings then let me know and that's what I'll do. If not, post a comment to give me ideas to make up for my lost time. Alright?
Oh wait, this was just a big apology post, wasn't it? YUP, I think so. So just to rub it in my own face...I'M VERY SORRY! JUST LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU'D LIKE (besides new GR and WWFF chapters) AND I'LL DO MY BEST TO MAKE YOU HAPPY! Alright?
And yes, I had more than my daily recommended dose of caffeine today.
Oh, one last thing. If any of you have a Rappelz account (and are on the Bahamut server) and want to add me to friends type this name into the box:
Nikuya
That exactly. Nice that I've got the same name there, huh? ^_^ But if you add me, please give me a message, kay? Like email or something (my email is mockingbirdprints@gmail.com ). Because I don't have a whole lot of friends and I need a cleric friend. ^^; Asuras die too easily no matter what level they are.
Oh and for those of you who are wanting to check out Rappelz, I've given a link to the Rappelz homepage so you can check it out. It's a free game but be warned, if you're thinking about playing as well, it requires a download and needs some pretty top of the line stuff.
I wouldn't even be able to have it if it wasn't for my new computer. *huggles new computer* I LOVE YOU EIENY!!
Everyone: "Eieny?"
It's the nickname I gave my new computer. It's short for Eienstein. Although I knew I just misspelled that...>_< Sorry my favorite poofy headed genius!!
Eh. I just rambled on again, didn't I? *everyone nods* Alright, sorry again. I promise to get out the new chapters ASAP and off I go. TOODLES!! Y(^O^)Y

Story Update Details (Bloodstained Window on Hiatus)
You here now? Kay then. Let me explain what's going.
"Through The Bloodstained Window"
This story is taking a break. Why? Because 1.) I'm very busy lately and have verily had time to write on even my other stories. 2.) My muse is refusing to let me write on that story despite I know what the plot is. 3.) I don't have anymore written on it as of right now. And 4.) I've been un-inspired by reading several other pathetic excuses for vampire stories.
Now I know a lot of my fans are very understanding and gosh, I don't know what I'd do if you guys weren't. Seriously, how can you stand me sometimes? But anyway, I want to say that I'm not sure what the fate of this story is. It's the second installment of my vampire series so I hope I won't lose hope for it. But then again, I can't promise the story will ever recover from it's hiatus. Fans who have been with me a while know I quit stories quite often.
Anyone remember "Beautiful Disaster"?
Anyway, I do want to say that if someone can find me a good vampire fic to read, my muse might let me start writing on "Bloodstained Window" again. So if you've found a good vampire fic you want to share (or just want me to update the story REALLY badly), message or comment the URL or somehow to get to the story, kay?
Now onto the other stories. Brace yourselves, this will be a long post if you haven't already noticed it.
"These Watery Wings Of My Forged Fate"
Oh jeez, if it wasn't for one dedicated fan, I'd never have gotten as far as I have with this story. You know who you are and you're much loved! As for you others, I'm glad to know the story has more readers now. I'm happy to say this story isn't in danger. Although, I desperately need to get more written on it. >_< Just not enough time. And of course, my blasted muse. So I apologize if the story comes out slowly but I'm getting it updated as quickly as I can.
"Ghost Revenge"
I apologize for not updating this for quite a while. I haven't gotten around to it despite that I have 2 chapters already written on it. But don't worry, it'll continue albeit very slowly. Oh, and for those of you who are scared to death that the story will end sadly. Relax. I'm not a fan of sad endings either. Although I can't promise anything. I'm not great at endings.
Now for the stories that aren't yet posted or in a different state at the moment...
"Is This Love?"
Oh jeez! I'll admit I've completely forgotten about this story. I started the rewrite and got a good portion down but just never got enough to be comfortable with posting it. Good thing to. I've lost all spirit for the story. Other stories have quickly filled it's void. Now I hate to give false hope here but... I've not completely decided to stop the story altogether. I love ITL and all it's numerous characters. So in the future, I may pop up and say the rewrite is going to be posted. But I won't promise anything.
"Fallen"
This story was voted to be the most wanted new story for me to post. However, it still has yet to be posted. Obviously. But I do have a couple chapters written on it. I've just stopped writing on it though and so I decided not to post it just yet. You know, save the fans some torture. Besides, this story is still very much in a rough stage. I'm still refining the characters (especially our seducing fallen angel) and working out the plot. The summary might have sounded peachy but that's not how a plot works, sadly. For those of you who are waiting for this story, just give me more time. Or better yet, message me and let me know you're looking forward to it. It'll help bump "Fallen" up on my priority list.
The Mystery Story
Ooh, I've got a bus load to tell about this story!! My muse has been bent on making me write this story. I've been spending most (ok fine, ALL) my writing time on this story and it hasn't been wasted. The story has a my most complicated plot but yet the simplest. It's hard to explain. And the characters seem to be coming to life more than any others.
This story has also broken one of my personal records. It's the first story that I've written 20+ chapters yet still have not run into any form of writer's block! It's amazing for someone like me. The story truly has snatched my heart. But most of you are simply scratching your heads and saying something like "who cares?" or "so what's this great story about?" Well, I've kept the story a mystery for good reason up till now. But I think you all should at least get a peak at what the mystery story is about.
The title I've settled on (for now...) is "The Chronicles of A Wind God" and it's obviously about a wind god. But much, much, MUCH more than that. To give you a small hint, the main character is a writer that created the wind god and all his other god friends. And in the series of strange events, she ends up within her own story.
Ok, that's all you'll get out of me unless you ask me for more. I really do everyone will like this story too. It's been heavily inspired by the manga "Anatolia Story/Red River" which I haven't been able to stop reading.
Finall! I'm sorry for the long post. Please comment and/or message!

CHECK THIS OUT!! You won't regret it!
So let's start off with what I'm talking about in the first place. Ok, so I've created a site called Mockingbird Prints.
What's it about, you ask? Well, it's dedicated to writers of stories that deserve more attention. But more than just that. It's chalked full of juicy goodness. It has an award system for golden stories. It has a page dedicated to good stories that are great but have some quarks. It has a forum you can chat in. It has a page of links to sites and other pages that will help writers with writer's block and even coming up with a plot. *GASP* It even has a super easy way to submit stories for an award! Seriously, it's super easy. Just fill out a form and hit submit. That's it. In fact, it has all this stuff and it's still in BETA FORM!!
Holy cow, right? Well, it's bound to get better.
So now that you know the basics about Mockingbird Prints, maybe you'd like to know a little more about what's it all about. Well, that's easily done. Really easily done. I've provided links to the site's homepage and it's other pages. If you have any questions about what types of stories can be submitted and such, please visit the FAQ.
Click here to visit Mockingbird Prints.
Click here to visit Mockingbird Prints' FAQ.
Click here to submit a story.
Click here to get a link you can use to link back to Mockingbird Prints.
Now that you've check all that out, maybe you'd like to know how you can help out the little cause that Mockingbird Prints stands for. HA! That's easy to do, too. There are plenty of ways to help out.
You can :
+ Submit a story for an MP Award.
+ Tell others about Mockingbird Prints.
+ Put a link in your homepage, news box, memo box, and/or journal linking to Mockingbird Prints.
+ You can even check into being a judge on the site!
Yup yup! And keep in mind you can submit your own stories! And if you're afraid you might mess something up when you submit a story or something, don't worry! No one is going to get angry and you aren't going to mess anything up. I swear. The only way you could mess something up is if you DON'T submit a story. Mockingbird Prints depends on everyone to submit stories and read. So get out there my little guinea pigs! You have work to do! *evil grin*
Nah, I'm just joking. I'd very much appreciate it if you helped out in any way you can. You get a huge THANK YOU ahead of time too. ^_^
Lastly, if you have any questions at all that were NOT answered in the FAQ, please email me at mockingbirdprints@gmail.com or message me via Quizilla messenger. I'd love to hear from all of you!

Ghost Revenge Being Continued?!
The answer, yup. I worked a bit on GR through my little break. Although, I obviously have changed a few things. If you've already read the new chapter, you know what they are. If you haven't, yes the new chapter is already posted. ^_^ Anyway, I wasn't ever planning to continue GR for numerous reasons. Most of which are given in the chapter. But there is also another reason I stopped it that wasn't said there.
You may not care, but I also got seriously fed up because the story seemed to have been cursed. Because, I beleive any of my fans already know that my work has been deleted on numerous ocasions. Sometimes by my own stupidity, sometimes because of my ancient computer. But one day, I went to go work on GR and found that the chapters which I had written, were gone. This along with finding out just how many things were wrong with the story, resulted in me stopping the story. So, maybe you guys can lend me some luck. Lets all cross our fingers and hope what I've written on GR doesn't disappear. Kay? ^_^
In other news, I thought I should mention that the ITL rewrite post date has been pushed back once again. School, the holidays and a runaway muse is to blame. But it will most likely be posted by the new year or, if not, then by the end of January.
Also, I've got some news about a new, mysterious, story I've been working on. I haven't given it a name, nor do I plan on telling you much about it. But I thought that I should at least give everyone something to ponder while you're sitting in calculus class, trying to ease away a headache. Anyway, here is all you're going to get for now about this new story.
I've been a BIG fan of "Greek God" by Cometeclipse (I've been a bit on edge because she hasn't updated for a while. ^_^;) Anyway, I love her story so much, I had to write my own version. And one day, I was watching "Stranger Than Fiction" and thought "Well, that would be an interesting story to write especially with something like Greek God as the base." And what do you know. I wrote it. ^_^ Ok then, that's all you're gonna hear. If you're interested in the story and want to know more, you may be able to wiggle a few more things out via a message. But until I feel the story is ready to be posted, I won't say much more.
Lastly, I want to just mention a few random things.
I've been wanting to post a rant about the way Quizilla is being ran and whatnot. So don't be surprise if you see a journal up about something like that. Not that I don't think there are a billion others like it. -_-
I've also been working on an HTML help quiz thing for all of you who want to snaz up your stories, quizzes and other junk. But don't like to use Themes. >_< I'll try to make it easy to understand and add a few things that you rarely see in other HTML quizzes.
Along with that, I've been compiling all of my writer's help sites and goodies into one spot. I've posted something about how to write a story, but not how to make it creative or the common mistakes to avoid and such. Because we know Quizilla users can tend to lack originalty. For example, a girl gets kidnapped by a sexy millionaire. What happens next? Yeah, I bet you can answer that. If not, you're a noob to Quizilla.
Ok, that's it. If you want to make a request for something to be put in the HTML help or the writing help quiz things, then do so in a comment. Or if you have a site that you'd like other Quzilla users to see, add it. Like I've got this great Japanese folktale site that can cure some forms of writer's block and give some creative ideas. *goes on and on* Anyway, comment, okayz? ^__^

FOS-FF username and other news...
Anyway, first off, FOS-FF is back up and running. And that means that I can finally post my stories up there and everyone finally gets a link that they can boomark, favorite, etc. So here it is. (If the link doesn't work then go to FOS-FF and look up Nikuya)
http://www.fos-ff.net/viewuser.php?uid=7140
Just copy and paste. ^_^ However, I would like to warn everyone, I'M STILL LEARNING HOW TO USE THE SITE! So yes, I'm gonna be a stupid noob on FOS-FF for a while. Bare with me on that for those of you who are avid FOS-FF users. For those of you who aren't, it actually is rather easy to use. Well, for when you're just reading, that is. *sigh* Sometimes it can be troublesome working behind the stage. >o< lol
Now, for my more important news. I'M TAKING A SHORT (maybe) BREAK! I've been putting a lot of my attention into my stories lately. And because of it, a lot of other aspects of my life have been getting badly neglected. So I need a break. Not only so I can catch a breath, but also to write my stories without stress and to also let my imagination have a rest. I can write lots of junk unles I actually want to write. My brain is rather choosey too, so that tends to make matters worse. *sigh*
BUT!! Considering that I am making this so sudden, I decided to give everyone something to look forward to. Or at least mostly everyone. I'm planning a surprise when I return to posting. However, what that may be is up to your imaginations.
However, I am going to give everyone some hints on what it is. One: it is something I've had many people ask for. Two: it has something to do with an update. Three: if I gave anymore hints I might give away the surprise. So have fun figuring it out everyone! But sadly, there are no prizes if you guess right. Just bragging rights. ^_^
Ok, with that out of the way, I do have some surprises (or updates) that I CAN tell everyone about. Though, I suppose everyone has already heard them. But I'll explain anyway.
I've been talking about reposting ITL for a while now. Well, recently I've been able to write on it. So I've got several chapters written. All I need to do is write enough chapters so that I feel comfortable about posting it. But I will tell ITL fans that there are some drastic changes in the the way the story is written. It is MUCH more descriptive so no more trying to guess what everything looks like. Also, I might change the name of the story. We'll see about that though.
In WWFF news, I've been asked to continue the story. So I will slowly be updating that after my break. But for the life of me, I can't understand why I don't have more readers on that story. WWFF IS MY FAVORITE ORIGINAL STORY SO FAR! ITL, is a close second. But to each his/her own.
As for my new vamp story, "Through The Bloodstained Window," I can't wait until I get the next few chapters written and posted. You guys are so gonna flip! Or at least, I hope so. I've put in a HUGE plot twist that will effect all following parts of my vampire series. I got an evil grin when I came up with the idea in the middle of "Secret Keeper." Anyway, I hope you enjoy it when I post it. ^_^
And lastly but not least...My FOS-FF stories. I'm still debating what I'll post there. So far I've only got up the first chapter of "Together For Never" but I will put up more. However, I want to post my other stories there. I just can't choose though! So if anyone wants to help me with my dilema, I will shower them with hugs! And all you have to do is take a poll. YAY! I'm setting up a poll with the story summaries and I want people to vote on what story they want. So take it if you will be bothering to hop over to FOS-FF to read my other stories. ^_^
And that is it for my news. Oh, but one last thing. I will also be halting posting on FOS-FF over my break, just to clear things up. And NOW, that's it. Leaves comments if you want. ^_^
