when guilt is too much.

I really do adore some of you, you know that? Especially you: Alicia, Maddison, Cynthia, Jacqueline — thank you all for being there unconditionally, frequently, selflessly. I’m sorry about a lot of things, but especially that I, too, cannot be as good as the people that you are.
♡
red: when and how did you first realize you loved writing?
There was never anything exciting about it, just one day — when I was around ten — I started writing and the love for it came naturally.
orange: who is your greatest literary inspiration, and why?
none; if I had one I’d know the answer instantly but I don’t.
yellow: what is your favourite style?
I like metaphorical and poetic styles. I also like styles that are as a simple as they are poetic. Poeticisms that are modest yet invoke very great imagery.
green: whose style do you imitate the most?
I’m not sure. That’s a question someone other than me should answer; who do you think my style imitates most?
blue: what is your favourite genre/subject on which to write?
I don’t particularly have a favourite genre to write with. But I’ve noticed I tend to write a lot of pieces connected — if only loosely — with self and self-reflection.
indigo: what do you think is the greatest flaw in your writing?
The writer. While this sounds overly pessimistic on the surface, I’ll explain. Being an introvert through-and-through my life experiences aren’t what they should be, also because I’m still young. But, being introverted (read: anti-social) has affected my written dialogue, and also the realism and detail in the scenes that I describe.
violet: what is your favourite thing about your writing?
I don’t have a favourite thing. I think the strongest point of my writing at the moment, however, is the flow (which is something that, funnily enough, I’ve always disliked).
pink: what attracts you to writing in general? why do you love it?
I don’t like reality. I like creating literary worlds and playing with them; writing is escapism in its greatest form (at least, from my perspective) and that’s a very attractive thing. There’s no great reason why I love writing, I just do. Could I live a life without sculpting sentences from wisps of my imagination? Yes, but that’s neither a life I would like to live, nor a life I would have a good time living.
silver: top three sources of inspiration
Music, photographs, happiness
black: your dreams! be published, be a critical success? what?
I don’t know. Publishing a book would be a dream-come-true, but it’s not a dream I’m counting on. For me, just writing and having a few people like it is enough, I think.
lemon: do you write fanfiction? if so, what genre? otp?
Yes. Mainly romance with the odd other genre thrown in the mix. I have three otps: Colonnello/Lal Mirch (Reborn!), Ichigo/Rukia (Bleach), every character/every character (Homestuck).
lime: what are some of the most prevalent themes in your work?
Love, loss, self
brown: three favourite novels
The Historian – Elizabeth Kostova, Hokkaido Highway Blues – Will Ferguson, Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World – Haruki Murakami
rainbow: three favourite authors
Haruki Murakami, Elizabeth Kostova, none have claimed the third spot yet.
white: weirdest thing you’ve ever written BE HONEST
Not sure, most things I write are pretty weird, one way or another. Define weird.
