THE THIRD ALTERNATIVE

The real alternative: If you want to play fun dress up games, have a Project Runway contest, let all your friends design clothes, have judges, and a fashion show.

Project Runway is like a game for those who enjoyed fun dress up games as children, and are fortunate to be able to continue doing the same in the world of commerce.

There is a sticker, however, in that the show, and the contests, are run within the power structure of the old world order: “The old order changeth, giving way to the new”.

The old order is no respecter of morals, and hence the ladies on display (the Greek word, from which “prostitution” is taken, means “display”) may be subjected to pressure in crossing the boundaries of moral behaviour for the sake of their careers, and their cheers.

The real alternative to the old world order is not the “new world order”. That is merely a counterfeit.

The real alternative sponsors beauty pageants where virginity is a requirement; married models must be able to prove that they were virgins on the night of their marriage.
