Like most Naruto gaming fans out there, I’ve been very interested in Naruto Shippuden: Legend: Akatsuki Rising for a while now. In the weeks before its release I read some pretty disappointing reviews concerning it, and now I find myself having to agree with some of them. Akatsuki Rising is a very fun game and any fan of the Naruto series will enjoy it, but it’s just that it doesn’t stray that far from the Ultimate Ninja series of Naruto (which I‘m a HUGE fan of and I‘ve already played them all).

Gameplay: 7

Okay, this game is an honest to goodness button masher. Nothing is truly hard about this game for that reason. You can defeat all your enemies by pushing one button over and over again. But then again there’s nothing wrong with that either. Most games in the Naruto series are button mashers. But the one thing that drove me nuts time and time again was the CAMERA! While trying to lock-on to an enemy to defeat, it will lock-on to an enemy that was way in front of you, and by doing that leaving you wide open to an attack. The battle system needs some work, but there is enough jutsu to keep it fun.

Graphics: 5.5

The graphics for this game is surprisingly good but not the best. The developers did a good job on some things and VERY bad on others. The colors for the characters is very vibrant. Something that has come to be expected though in any Naruto game, I feel. But there is a lot to be desired in this game graphic wise. I think the hardest thing to watch in this game is the cut scenes. They are, in my opinion just horrible. There’s no real detail to them. They show no emotion, what’s the point of zooming in on their faces if nothing changes. Plus the backgrounds are very repetitive.

Story: 7.5

Scenario Mode was a lot of fun. They kept it very close to the story, no strange little changes. Plus the missions are fun. They are kind of straight forward and once you get the hang of the game, most are easy to complete. The battle mode is fun with the characters you are given. But the best part of this game is the chance to play as one of the Akatsuki. It’s a different element being brought to this system, so that’s what makes it stand out.

Sound: 8

The music for this game is more of the same. Which isn’t bad, it’s the same music we’ve come to love in the Naruto series. The voice actors did a great job and the choice of either being able to play it in either English or Japanese is just a plus always.

My overall score for this game is a 7. It’s not awful but it’s not the best either. It needs a lot of work. Since I’ve only played the Naruto games on the Playstation systems, I can’t compare it to other games for the other systems. But Naruto Shippuden: Legends: Akatsuki Rising is a combination of the Ultimate Ninja series and Uzimaki Chronicles. In fact this game plays SO much like Chronicles they might as well just called it that. Like I said before the only thing that sets this game apart is being able to play as one of the akatsuki.

WHY MUST ONE SUFFER LIKE THIS. WHY VIZ, WHY? I can't believe it that shippuden will be airing on the disney xd channel in october. I don't even want to think about how bad this will be edited. I think I'm going to die, it's so bad.

But get this, this is what VIZ has to say about Disney:

Disney XD is a new basic cable channel and multi-platform brand that showcases a compelling mix of live-action and animated programming for kids age 6-14, hyper-targeting boys and their quest for discovery, accomplishment, sports, adventure and humor. New dubbed episodes of NARUTO Shippuden will premiere on the network.

Now I hate the thought of this anime being aimed at 6 year olds. I know that it will be edited beyond compare. AlsoI resent that this article included so much emphasis on boys of a certain age, when I don't believe that the story is intended solely for boys and certainly not for boys six years old. I've watched Shippuden from the very start and the same goes with the first part, so I don't even want to think about the scenes with Sai or Hidan-Sama.

This may be the end of Naruto as we know it. I can't think of an anime that has been shown on any Disney channel that has not been one of the toy based animes. For example Digimon and Beyblade. This shall be terrible.

Hmm... I haven't posted anything on this site for along time, in fact I haven't been on here for along time either. This site has changed a bit, doesn't seem as good as it once was.

Oh! For anyone who reads this and doesn't know, Shippuden is coming to DVD in September. The first four episodes. It won't be shown on tv. It's going to be a dvd only anime. Which is kind of sad but good too. But the greatest thing is that Quinton Flynn (not sure if I spelt that right) WON'T, I repeat WON'Tbe doing Dei-kun's voice. There is an anime god in this world. So take that all you stupid suckers who called yourself fangirls but never took the time to watch the subs and put everyone else down saying oh Quinton did such a good job, it's the same guy who did Axel in Kingdom Hearts...gag me with a spoon. He made Dei sound so gay....it was Iruka with a cold, thats all it sounded like. But he will be voiced by Roger C. Smith, who could use a little work, compared to how hedid his voice in theshippuden gamebut all together could be good. But johnny yong bosch will be doing the real Sasori. It's a dream come true!!!

In other news, someone copied my Kouga story, changed it and then posted it on another site. Who ever it is copied the beginning of it word for word. It pisses me off a bit but Imitation is thebest form of flattery, so whatever. But get this the title of the story is dreaming of you, mine is dreams of you. WOW they put SO much thought into it, really. They must be so proud. I mean from what I saw what that person did write was good, so why copy mine.

But it was a shock to see that. Okay people send me a message once in a while....it's no fun being alone ^_^

WOW! I can't believe I almost forgot Lee's birthday. Well. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE SEXY GREEN BEAST. lol..............oh yeah and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone else too. ^_^

Hello. This is just a quick review I wrote up for Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3 on the PS2 for Hokagesroom.com


Let me just start by saying that I love the Ultimate Ninja series. It's great fun and as the Playstation 2 quietly slips away into darkness, there are still games worth getting for this console. Any fan of the Naruto series has been watching this game for a while, got it when it was released and has already beaten it (ME!) But this game is far from perfect. .

I love all the new features they've added to the game. It's a huge improvement over the first but not much of a leap from the second. Hero's History mode was lots of fun. Going back and fighting through the major battles of the series all the way up to the Sasuke Retrieval arc. Rock Lee vs. Kimimoro was lot's of fun. By far one of my favorite fights of the series (maybe not so much the dub version of it, for certain reasons. But still good). .

I love the battle system, allowing you to customize more stuff. It's such an improvement to the series. It makes it seem much more grander, like the one in the anime. More worth fighting. Plus having more unlockable character is lots of fun too. I love the forth, he's the best. But all the characters are all really good. I figured that this game would be like the last one. You have your strong characters, like Itachi and your rather weak ones like Hinata but nope. All the characters I found can stand a chance against each other either is a 2-player battle or against the comp. But the only draw back going against the comp is the AI is weak. It's not very smart and doesn't put up much of a fight..

Ultimate Contest I enjoyed. I know the Ultimate Ninja series is more fighting then any thing but if you're going to put in an RPG mode please make it good. Don't get me wrong it was good but the town even though large just seemed a bit bland. The few people they put into the story that walk the streets and you can talk to who aren't involved in the story didn't say much. I never found it interesting enough to talk to them more then once. Most of the time I tried to throw shuriken at them. (It was out of boredom I swear). The story was good for this part. Not hard at all to go through. I would have like to of seen the OVA with it though. Why they couldn't release that with the game I don't know. I've watched it in Japanese and it's cute. When I first heard the game was coming out I was looking forward to hearing the English VA of Rock Lee and Gai-sensei when they fight each other. It's just so cute. I also didn't like the fact that every time I wanted to go to another part of the Leaf Village I had to open up a menu to get to it. I didn't get why they just couldn't have it be like in the second game. Just have Naruto walk to an exit point and off he would go to the other part.

The game still looks and sounds good. The backgrounds may not jump right out at you but when fighting, fans of the series will enjoy it. You'll recognize them right away if you are new to the gaming series. The music sounds like it always has, right from the anime. But that's one of the things I like. It doesn't have to change a lot from the anime and still be a good game. I would recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of the series and has yet to pick it up. I hope they bring the shippuuden games over soon.

Gameplay: 8.0 - The gameplay is easy and makes it so anyone can just pick it up.
Graphics: 8.0 - Looks about the same from the other games but in a good way.
Sound: 8.0 - The music is good. I kind of wish you could adjust it more like in the second game. But adding the Japanese VA cast to it was great.
Overall: 8.0 - It’s a great game but not perfect.

Has anyone elses messages disappeared from their box. I got these two spam messages; a poem one and a ringtone. I went to quizilla to delete them and it said it couldn't and now my messages are gone. This really makes me mad!!!!

Hi. I've been reading alot about Japanese mythology. Now I've been a fan of the Naruto series for along time. I read chapter 391 over the weekend and found it very interesting. Those who have read it I would like to get your opion on what you think is going to be the out come of this battle, Sasuke vs. Itachi. (Personally I want Sasuke to die)

But also going back to the mythology part, I want to point out a few things, that some may not know and may find interesting. (Naruto follows alot of Japanese folklore)

#1: Sasuke's new technique: Kirin Also spelled Qilin in chinese but is known as Kirin in Japan. Qilin punishes the wicked. And is said to appear in conjunction with the arrival of a sage. (Wishful thinking there...my mind goes right to pervy sage...I still can't believe he's gone)
(Quote this from my source) "In the Post-Qin Chinese hierarchy of mythological animals, the Qilin is ranked as the third most powerful creature (after the dragon and phoenix), but in Japan, the Kirin occupies the top spot. This is following the style of the ancient Chinese, as QiLin, before the Qin Dynasty, was ranked higher then the Dragon or Phoenix, in fact, during the Zhou Dynasty, the Dragon is the third, the Phoenix rank second."

If you put this in terms of Naruto: (just play along) Sasuke using Kirin would be #1, he beat Deidara who wore the ring of the Azure Dragon which is ranked #3, and now he is fighting Itachi who wears the ring Vermilion Bird (Phoenix) which is ranked #2. hmm...coincidence?

Now as I continue... #2: Itachi and his technique: Susanou (I'm going with the correct way of spelling for the rest, which is Susanoo)

In Japanese mythology is the god of the sea and storms. He is also the brother of Amaterasu, the goddess of the sun, and of Tsukuyomi, the god of the moon. Now Susanoo did some really mean stuff to his sister Amaterasu. Susanoo was punished by being banished from Heaven. He descended to the province of Izumo, where he met an elderly couple. Seven of their eight daughters had been devoured by the eight-headed serpent Yamata-no-Orochi ( "big snake of eight branches"; often called Orochi or the Eight-Forked Serpent in english.It is a serpent-like creature in Japanese mythology.The monster is described as having eight heads and eight tails and eyes as red as winter-cherries) and it was about to come for the eighth, Kushinada-hime. After the couple promised their daughter's hand in marriage to Susano, he agreed to slay Orochi. Now those of you who don't know how he did this, he took eight bowls of Sake and got the eight heads drunk and when they fell asleep he cut the heads off. (Anyone who has a playstation 2 and is interested in this kind of stuff or is looking for a good game should pick up Okami. It's really good)

But also Itachi's jutsu all has meanings: left eye= amaterasu, right eye= tsukoyomi and susanou= nose. (That's what they all represent in mythlogy)

So susanoo was the mystical being that defeated the snake. Now I can't remember but doesn't Tobi/Madara say "I wonder if sasuke will fly and become a hawk or stay a snake" (can't remember what chapter that was, I read it on a site somewheres...I get pissed when I see tobi and just skip over him while reading...he makes me so made because of Dei-kun)

So in truth the fight could go anyway but I hope Itachi lives or at least escapes to fight another day.

Well for those few people who read my kouga story and haven't checked out my quizes page, I am taking a break from it for a bit. I don't have much time right now and well I've hit a road block.I have no ideas, I mean I do but just can't seem to get them right. But I will. I promise I will update it maybe by the end of Febuary. It won't be much longer till I finish it anyways.

WARNING: This is a rant, pure and simple. So if anyone writes saying I'm over reacting, please don't, because I know I am but I don't care. OK first lets get this straight, I am a loyal Rock Lee fangirl. Anyone who has ever taken the time to talk to me knows this. I have been for many many years. I am 22 years old now. I've read every manga chapter that has been released, watched every episode in japanese and up till tonight I have put up with the dub. I was beyond thrilled when I heard that Naruto was coming over seas. In the beginning there was the panic that 4Kids would get it because viz could never afford to get it. That freaked me out. But I was happy with Viz for the most part. It was made even better by getting Brian Donovan as Lee's VA. But with the dub even the ever annoying "Believe It!" didn't bother me so much, but when you mess with one of my favorite episodes and make it out to be beyond stupid. Even the stupid kids who watch this, that don't have a clue, will think its stupid. You F***king piss me off. I know nothing will come of this and no one will read it but it just makes me feel better. But anyone who watched the episode tonight must be thinking the same thing, even if you haven't seen this episode before. #1. How dare they cut out the blush. Thats like the best thing when Lee gets drunk, its such a cute blush. (But quick question, do people really think, that if an anime character gets drunk and kids who watch this know he is drunk, they are going to run out and get drunk themselves? I think not. I know I never did) #2. What the hell happened to the SAKE, I mean the kids who watch this, do they even know what sake is. I mean when the first naruto movie aired, now I could be wrong, maybe they edited it out, but didn't Naruto ask Yukie if she was drunk? But "Elixir" I mean come on. Thats the best you got. How stupid. But the real thing that pissed me off, the rest I could over look, with just a death glare, but #3 Loopy Fist, I mean what the f**k is that. Thats beyond stupid. It doesn't even seem right. So I would like to give Viz a pat on the back for destroying what was suppose to be a great episode. All I can say that if its not right with the uncut dvd, but not even that, I guess it depends on next week episode with Lee, how stupid that is, I don't know how much longer I can stand watching the dub.

Phew...there its done. I got the next chapter for Dreams Of You done. I kind of got writer's block for it, thats the main reason my rock lee one-shot got done when it did. I know what I want to write its just getting the story to lead up to it. I'm thinking about adding a lemon for later chapters, depending on how far I can make this story go. I know theres a lot of stuff going on with the lemons, but oh well, I'm going to write what I want, or I'm going to leave quizilla. I know other people are taking chances like this now too.(I don't really care about lemons, but they do add to the romance stories, you should be able to write what you want) When and if I do, do a lemon, it will be clearly marked, maybe even a password or something. I figure they won't delete my account, just my chapter. But thats for later on. For right now I hope you like this new part. I will try to get the next part up sooner then the time it took for this one. bye

I didn't know where to post this, so I'm going to post it where ever I feel like it, sorry. I don't know how many people have watched Death Note on adultswim that started last week. I've only read the manga, never watched the sub except certain episodes. But what I'm getting at is, I was so worried that L's voice actor would be bad but its so sexy. I LOVE IT!!!! He's my fav character....but his VA is so good. If his VA wasnt good it would have spoiled it for me. But I'm so happy

OMG, I almost forgot that today was Naruto's birthday. Happy Birthday Naruto!!!! I was watching a video on youtube of Naruto and Yondaime (Minato) and I was like omg. But I made it...its only 11:19 p.m. so Ha

I can't wait for this episode tonight at 9. Lee comes back into the series. Its sad though. I've seen the sub version but I can't wait for the dub. Brian Donovan, who is Lee's VA is one of my favorites. YEAH!!!!! I'm so excited. I love Lee

ok like the title says I dont think that Tobi is obito or mandara uchiha. One if he was mandara why would the leader say he could be replaced so easily in the other chapter. I never really got into liking Tobi so I don't know. But I won't believe it until it says it. Yes the mask looks the same but nothing else. so unless i missed something that says tobi equals one of them i wont believe it until i do...this is just a small rant so please pay no attention to it. good day

well it is official now, Deidara is dead. I only now got to read the chapter and watch the new episode of shippuuden cause I've been busy working and reading the new harry potter book. Got it at 12:01 this morning. YEAH!!!! I was so hoping that Sasuke was dead but I knew he wouldn't but that was cool how he did it. I already knew about the leader but still thats cool. I feel kind of bad for Tobi, no one really cares that hes gone. But oh well. R.I.P. Deidara and Tobi

I know that almost everyone knows by now that Deidara is more then likely dead but I just can't get over it. It is driving me insane, mainly because of Sasuke. I just don't get it. I mean Sasuke sucks. Yes, he is cooler after the time skip but he still sucks. I mean Deidara went up against Gaara. GAARA of all people and he still lived to tell about it. To me Gaara is one of the strongest characters ever. Yes, Deidara lost his arm, no big deal there but that was all. He took down Gaara in no time, so for him to have so much trouble with Sasuke makes no sense to me. Sasuke is weak and the only way he got that far was cause he copied Lee every chance he got. Also if Dei is dead and the leader didn't do anything to help him then the leader is on my hate list no matter who he turns out to be. It didn't bother me this much when Hidan died cause Shika took care of him and Shika is so cool. But oh well.*sigh* there I had to get that out of my system before I went nuts.
