So has anyone taken the chance to look around on the highest rated lately? I looked today, and I am freaking out at what I'm seeing. I thought the Naruto craze was bad, but the Twilight craze is just the most scary thing I've ever seen.

People seem to disregard the fact that all the characters they're writing fan fiction about are already in a pre-existing relationship. One of the things that I would NEVER do is go against canon and break up a couple. The only somewhat ok thing is if it's before the couple was together.

But now titles are just like:

][][][] *INSERT CULLEN HERE* *INSERT SONG NAME FOR CHAPTER TITLE* *INSERT NUMBER HERE* []][][

Here are some examples:

Actually there's a term for this where you fall for your kidnapper. I forget what it is, basically it's survival instincts. Treat them nicely, they will treat you nicely, etc etc.

Why does the indifferent icon always best represent my mood when I blog on Quizilla? Anyways so, interesting tidbit with Sky's Content. There was this text file from July 14,2007 that was titled:

I figure it was probably the plot outline of the story before Yuri's neck was slashed. So I open it up, and see only one line was written:

"You see, this is what happens when you get too close to a woman. She becomes attached and next thing you know, you feel guilty and your heart urks everytime you hurt her."

Apparently in 2007 I was planning a chapter from Shikamaru's POV before the chapter 7 was published on October 7, 2008.

Interesting.

Anyways, so I just wanted to say, I hope you guys enjoy all the Shikamaru updates lately, because I am thoroughly enjoying it myself. In fact I've done so much Shikamaru work lately I've been yearning to do some Bombastic Love. Which I put on hiatus until Kakashi's fate was truly discovered.

I will stop if Kakashi actually turns out to be 100% dead. Because unlike Paige, I don't really think I can write about dead characters. But if you think of the ending of BL I don't really think it would matter if he's dead or not...

Anyways so I might continue it, I might not.

OH and another heads up people. I do not respond to messages. I read them all, but I typically don't respond unless your username starts with 'H' and ends with 'iEiorYuSuKe' =/

So don't get your hopes up. I do respond on the odd occassion, but not really.

I thought this would be interesting to post. I have each story written in word but I have each chapter as separate files. So I went through the trouble of putting each chapter into one file and I thought it would be interesting to share some numbers.

Since Quizilla changed its layout obviously a lot of people have left. In a way I feel sort of sad because some of the good writers are gone. -- Then again, the good writers always leave on their own because of rabid fans, or they're just unknown in general OR they just disappear. But that's another journal entry.

It seems to me the new thing on Quizilla to do is to conform and say you hate it. Why? Because of the new layout? Apparently.

Honestly, I can understand why some people are mad. I mean like, they said it'll take awhile to transfer our stories once the new site is up, and when it is people are shouting 'WHERE THE F*CK DID MY STORIES GO!?!?!?!?'. Or other things like how Quizilla said old quiz layouts and themes aren't going to be there anymore, people start freaking out 'WHERE IS MY QUIZ LAYOUTS?!?!'

In my opinion, the only constituted anger on this site is when stories get cut off. Otherwise, all the other stuff is whining. So here's a list of things people whine about and my answer to that:

Things People Whine About #1 - The new 'Look'

Its just like any other website people. When you go on myspace or facebook do you think 'WOW THIS LAYOUT IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME'. NO. The only thing you really care about on those sites is functionality. What? Quizilla doesn't have any functionality anymore? WHAT? QUIZILLA JUST GOT A NEW LAYOUT? WHAT THAT EXPLAINS THE LACK OF FUNCTIONALITY. OH NO.

You catch my drift?

Things People Whine About #2 - MY STORIES/QUIZZES ARE GONE

Ok, I'm pretty sure Quizilla said months ago it'll take them a while to move over stuff. When ALL of my NEW stories were gone, I didn't complain. I didn't freak. I didn't yell and swear at them. I thought 'They said it would take a while, so just give it a few days' Learn to read people.

Things People Whine About #3 - THEY'RE RESPONDING TO MY EMAIL WITH THE SAME AUTOMATED MESSAGE. SEND ME A REAL EMAIL QUIZILLA.

Do you realize how many people are emailing them? Do you realize how many people email them without you guys complaining? If it took them a week to respond before, imagine what its like for them when all of your are whining and crying 'Change my site back!' You won't get a personalized response for while. DEAL.

Things People Whine About #4 - THE OLD QUIZILLA WAS EASIER TO WORK. TURN IT BACK NOW.

Did you really read anything that they were saying? They said it was so messed up that they couldn't update their site to add new features? If your room was so messed up and filled with crap that you couldn't fit anything new in there EVER what would you do? OH WHAT'S THAT? CLEAN YOUR ROOM? WHAT'S THAT? ORGANIZE IT? WELL I THINK THAT'S WHAT QUIZILLA DID. And yet you complain. Grats, go live in your filth.

A while back they were trying to contact news shows and day time TV shows like Oprah. Do you seriously think Oprah will talk about how people are complaining on a website? Do you think Oprah's demographic will want to hear that? Do you think people you know want to see people complaining instead of Oprah touching the lives of _____________ person? No I don't think so.

Ridiculuous Thing #2 -

There was talk a while back of making a website with the same old layout of Quizilla and using Penny as some sort of site name. Now not only is that asking for lawsuits, do you really think that some 14 girl is capable to coding this entire site to the full functionality of how it was. If anything you'll realize how messed up it really was and agree with Quizilla in the end.


-- I understand people have the right to complain, hell I'm complaining right now. And I understand that people geniunely don't like this new layout. But hey, if people put up with the change a few years ago when they changed the site from blue and white to the previous version, you guys can learn to deal with this layout. Not to mention, spamming journals with your useless crap? If you want change: get organized, figure out a competent way to contact quizilla, and clearly express your views and points as to why they should change it back. Not to mention try to provide some alternatives (like same old layout, same functionality of this site.)

That's my opinion of the new Quizilla. Deal, try to organize a change, or leave.

So I haven't exactly been on Quizilla! much lately, but the past few days I've been looking through, to see how things are before the new layout. And like, I look at the highest rated and its like, these people are doing ANYTHING to get interest in their stories.

The other day, I saw a '60 minutes in heaven' thing for DEATHNOTE. ARE YOU SERIOUS? Do people not realize the seriousness and the dark issues that Deathnote deals with? Light MURDERS people on a regular basis and L and the crew are trying to stop him. Deathnote should not be taken lightly like Naruto has over the past few years, because it is a serious show o_O. And the things that happen, and the things characters do isn't exactly '__ minutes in heaven'.

I just feel like, as soon as an anime gets licensed, it loses all its credibility and is subjected to fangirls and the characters are all doomed to be treated as bishi's. Like, an anime or a manga is a story. Its a different style of making books. You don't read a book for school and then freak out about a character and spam them like hell. Well usually anyways. And like, sure I do fanfic, but atleast I don't make the characters OCC and all lovey dovey and shit when they aren't like that at all. Its like taking your friend and saying 'I don't like this about you, so I'm just going to make you the way I like.'

Second of all, on the highest rated all the stories are like to gain anyone's attention. And the sad part is, good stories with intriguing titles aren't getting any readers because all people look at, is if the title to gives away the entire plot. What happened to SYMBOLISM people? Honestly. You don't see books with titles like 'I may be drafted out to war... but I'm falling in LOVE with this mean, arrogant, FOREIGN person!' You don't see that in the real world.

Here is a really good example from the highest rated:

Just looking off the title, it looks extremely contradictory and "Quizilla cliche". NOT ONLY is the whole story (or atleast the rising action) given away from the title, it makes no sense whatsoever. If the father is overprotective what would drive him to SELL his child? Plus, not only is the male lead a VAMPIRE (Oh what a SURPRISE on Quizilla!), he is a PRINCE and he's EGOTISTICAL and PSYCHOTIC. Just off the title alone it feels like the person is begging for attention and wants so desperately to be popular. Well congrats. You've achieved your goal.

Another good example that relates to the Death Note issue:

When looking upon the title, I think 'What the hell, is this person crazy?' And I looked at their homepage and saw someone named Theodore make the point I was about to make. Your boss hitting on you isn't right o_O That's called sexual harassment. Granted, it IS a different story than the usual vampire stories, but still. What sort of example is this setting for the younger readers of Quizilla!? In my mind its saying, that if your boss hits on you and he's cute or hot, than its OK for him to do that even if you don't like it. Sexual harassment is never ok no matter WHO is doing it. But not only is the story started off on sexual harassment, the author -acknowledges- its sexual harassment in the third chapter. I don't know, I just think although different, this story is very close to crossing the line.

Stories like this on Quizilla! that makes me glad I'm leaving.

-_- Hm. Well there you go, yet another rant by myself :p That seems like the only thing I do these days, haha. Well, atleast you guys know I'm not dead then ^_^;

I am getting so tired of all this crap quizilla is now. In all honesty. So many things are messed up with quizilla.

Messed up thing #1 - Highest Rated

The highest rated is a joke. Everyone knows its a joke, everyone publicly says its a joke, and yet they are still going and voting these stories 4-5's. I myself, everytime I see a story 3-10 paragraphs long, or has a really stupid title I vote it a 1. And there have been times where I went through everything on the highest rated and voted it a 1. If I felt the story looked good, then it got a 3. And like my other post, its so predictable its not even funny. Highest rated is lame, its always been lame, and it will forever be lame.

Messed up thing #2 - Chainletters

People complain about chainletters, but people still send them knowing most people hate them. Why are you compelled to send them? Do you really think you can find your true love by annoying the sh*t out of your whole friends list? Do you really think you'll be safe from whoever if you send it within ___ minutes? In all honesty, are you that stupid?

Messed up thing #3 - Petitions

There are a lot them. A lot of people hate them. Whether they're for lemons, which by the way, are stupid. People who enjoy reading lemons on a regular basis, what the hell? If you're that horny go masturbate or something. God. And if you want lemons, go to another website? They're not allowed on quizilla, never was, never will be.

Messed up thing #4 - Complaining about the new Quizilla!

People didn't like it when Quizilla when from blue and white to this layout. And people are obviously not going to like it when this one goes to the new one. Wanna know how to deal with it? Leave or get used to it. You should be GLAD and THANKFUL quizilla is looking for YOUR feedback. They could change everything without telling anyone.

Messed up thing #5 - No one updates anymore

Everyone has some sort of school thing, everyone is 'busy' for some unknown reason, everyone is on hiatus. That or people DO update and their updates are sh*t. Although I fit in this messed up thing, no one's perfect.

Messed up thing #6- Homepages and Layout websites

Now that I've gotten myself into that. Wtf stealers. In all honesty what the hell causes someone to steal? I would just like to ask a stealer WHY they stole. Not see them say they're sorry, or have them deny it. Why the hell do you steal? Are you jealous? Are you too lazy to do work? Do you do it out of spite? WHY?

And not to mention, everytime someone says something bad about a layout site, there's an uproar. Either people meddle and try to 'defend' this person, or people get upset and quit. Not everyone will like you, listen to what they have to say, decide whether you should let it affect you, then move on with your life.


Quizilla now is just an annoying mess that is ALWAYS The same. Like honestly, this is the first time I've thought of just giving up on Quizilla! I've been an avid user since 2004. I come on daily, check things out, and see what's new. But like, I'm sick of this. I'd really like to finish my current stories on quizilla, then just leave and work on my stories privately. I'm sick of this pre-teen/teenager hellhole that Quizilla! has become.

In a nutshell, I've just outgrown Quizilla =/ So expect my leave when the stories are done.

Well I'm sure most of you are tired about Quizilla's highest rated. Well to be frank, everyone has been tired about the highest rated since the highest rated's beginnings. So I decided to do this "How to" because well, its sort of easy to get on the highest rated and everyone already knows this stuff anyways. And by all means people, this is not supposed to be serious, the entire point of this point will be to prove how idiotic the Highest Rated truly is.

I'm sure for some of you that have been on Quizilla! for a while, you might remember a story called:

"I can not! I will not! Fall in love with YOU!!! Oh crap..."?

Well, when I decided to write that story, I had a nice plot all planned out and it seemed like an awesome story. But I decided, I was going to try to get it on the highest rated, and so I planned it solely in that matter; and ultimately it succeeded in getting on the highest rated.

So here are a few basic steps you need to follow to get on the Highest Rated.

Step 1: Come up with a plot

Well most people usually understand this, but you know, its a required step. Your plot can consist of anything that includes a boy and a girl.

To get on the highest rated guaranteed though, your plot must include any of the following:

- A tough girl who originally hated the male lead
- Any, "He's ___________, but now I've ________" sort of thing
- Any sort of Band
- Any sort of Vampire
- Anything with Naruto or any popular anime
- I'm the only girl in ___________ ________
- Arranged marriage
- ___ minutes in heaven (_________ style).

Step 2: Come up with a title

Well back in the day, the title used to consist of something like this:

"This is the first part... THEN HERE'S THE TWIST!!!!"

Hence "I can not! I will not! Fall in love with YOU!!! Oh crap..." But these days it seems anything that gives away the entire storyline in all glory will do. UNLESS you're a well known author with many fans, then a random title would work in that case.

Step 3: Start with an info quiz and make sure to have pictures of your characters

Usually in books and stories, there is no such thing as an info quiz, but on Quizilla! it appears to be a must have! So make sure to have your info quiz and make sure to search Myspace/Facebook for pictures! (>____>)

Step 4: Have daily, sometimes multiple times a day updates

In the normal world, usually chapters aren't a page long or two pages (unless you're say... Stephen King) but in Quizilla!, to get on the highest rated, it doesn't matter if your update is three paragraphs. As long as its daily, no one seems to care.

Step 5: Now that you update daily, and have fandom, well, I don't know

You can do some of the following:

- Go on a hiatus that takes forever
- Boycot quizilla and its rabid crazy readers and move
- Keep updating (this is rare!)
- Go on an angry rant and leave, but ultimately come back at some point
- Just disappear

Now this all goes without saying, there are people on the highest rated that did not get on this way, and break all the steps in some cases. However, this worked three years ago, and appears to still be working. So no offense to people on the highest rated (especially since I was at one point one of them), and I hope you enjoyed "How to get on the Highest Rated".

It seems that I have to re-write every Journal entry because Journals seems to hate me.

Anyways, so I've made a website. What sort of website? Well I think you can guess since almost everyone has a layout website nowadays :p LOL. No, that's not why I made it.

I figured that hey, I have all these quiz layouts and all these homepages I only use -once- and I LOVE to make layouts and stuff, so why not make them accessable to EVERYONE?

Alright, so I suppose you noticed that I haven't updated in like FOREVER. Well, the thing is, I have absolutely no inspiration WHATSOEVER to continue writing it at the moment. So here's my decision for what to do:

Since I don't want to leave it like mid way, I figure, I'm going to 'technically' end the story at chapter 23 and make chapters 24 and 25 inactive.

If I EVER SOMEHOW get back into it, I'll reactivate chapters 24 and 25 and continue on with the story.

Its just that way, the story will have a proper ending if I never pick it up again.

Sorry for all the people who were expecting updates. My heart is just NOT in it right now.

HOLY CRAP PEOPLE. Last night, I had like the best idea in the WORLD. It's extremely complicated if you think about it but its like, AWESOME. Alright. This idea however would drastically shift when the stories will get done/started. Because for one simple reason, 3 of my stories are going to overlap eachother. Meaning that the characters will be in the other stories affecting the actual storylines of the other ones! I was like 'HOLY CRAP THAT'S AN AWESOME IDEA!' But alas, it is extremely complicated -.-

The stories will be 3 naruto stories. The Kakashi story, The sasuke story and.... A Shikamaru story! Bet your thinking how could they overlap =O ? Lol. Well actually I need to finish the Kakashi story before I can start the other two stories. The Sasuke and Shikamaru story would have to run simultaneously so not to confuse me, or spoil what happens to others. Meaning, I'll literally have to have to prepare the quizzes -part by part- and know EXACTLY what's happening in them. Yeah. That's insane.

What does this mean about the current and pending stories? Well...
The Seto Story -will- be finished after the next Kakashi update
The Sasuke story will be put pending considering it has to wait for the Kakashi story to end first
The Axel and Itachi Story will most likely start sometime after the summer. After I begin the Shikamaru and Sasuke stories.
The Sara and Tai story will end before I start the Sasuke and Shikamaru stories.
And the Kakashi quiz will have more updates then before as to trying to get way for the other stories.

Ohh and the Gaara story will come eventually into the Shikamaru and Sasuke story because it too will overlap, but not as much as the others considering they live in the Sand village >_>

So yeah, that's my break-through idea that's going to effect all the other stories, whether plot line or release date they are all effected =O So yeah. In short, Sasuke, Shikamaru and Kakashi quiz going to overlap. Except it'll be after the Kakashi quiz is finished. The characters will appear in the other stories that's about it. *nods nods*
