Alright. Here's my view on this new site thing.
Yes, I like Quizilla the way it is. However, as a web-designer (in my free time) I also realize how completely crowded and scattered and downright CONFUSING things can get. It builds and builds until it gets to the point where you almost have no choice but to start over.
As for the design of the new site, I like it. My favorite part is the navigation settings at the top of the page (the drop-down menus) and how they really organized the information instead of having it just be a frenzy of clicking...
However, I, like many other commentors, agree that it needs a little more color and probably some attention-grabbing pictures or logos or something. It's just a little to black and white for my tastes.
Now, as for those of you who are saying that change is BAD, we should stick to the "orthodox" way of things...
Where would the world be if NOTHING ever changed? You wouldn't be able to complain about a simple DESIGN change on here. That's where we'd be. We'd be hoeing and chopping and crafting away under the rule of some crazy mad dictator.
You haven't even given the site a single, solitary chance. Remember the saying "don't judge a book by it's cover"? The same applies here. You've only seen a very SMALL amount of what's to come. It's called a PREVIEW for a reason. You don't get to see the REAL things that make up the true part of the site.
In my opinion, as long as I'm still able to write, post, and read stories/quizzes/poems/etc. easily....I'm good.
It's their site. They can do what they want. Keep complaining and I wouldn't blame them for shutting the whole operation down. It's a heck of a lot more work than needed and JUST like those of you who tell readers to not message with complaints/hate mail/etc.....you're doing the same to the creators of this site.
Think about it.
