Teaching the Teacher
So as it seems, every time I update this journal/blog, I'm angry. I suppose this is just my ranting space now. Feel free to read and leave comments, I would love to hear from some of you!Why do teachers have this inability to admit their mistakes? Is it that difficult to say "Oops, my mistake! You were right and you deserve those points back on your test!" Of course, that's just putting it lightly. In fact, deep down, I really feel that my history teacher is a stubborn, narrow-minded fool who can't even read the textbook he assigns us! He doesn't stick to the facts; he makes up his own to support his hippie, extremist opinions which he plasters all over his tests. Stated blankly, it's infuriating.
History used to be one of my best classes. How dare he take that away from me and everyone else who loves it to propel his own false claims! He refuses to accept anything outside his beliefs and that leads to a biased, opinionated course rather than a stimulating, informative one. If he really wanted to inspire us to rethink things, truly desired to help us view things in a different way, he wouldn't be so focused on pressing his opinions on us.
Should teachers really get this much control over their classes and tests?
